welcomes original articles on statistical methodology, statistical
applications, or discussions of
results achieved by statistical methods in different branches
of science.
Submission of articles
All contributions must be submitted to the Editor-in-Chief as
PDF or (stand alone) TeX or LaTeX file
preferably by e-mail to info@metronjournal.it.
Hard copies are then unnecessary.
Authors who prefer to proceed by mail should send three copies
of their manuscript to:

Clearly indicate who will handle the correspondence at all stages
of refereeing, publication and post-publication.
The corresponding author must provide his/her complete postal address,
e-mail address, telephone and
fax numbers with country and area code. Submission of an article
implies that:
i) its content has not been published previously
or is not under consideration for publication elsewhere;
ii) its publication is approved by all authors
and tacitly or explicitly by the responsible authorities
where the work was carried out;
iii) if accepted, it must not be published
elsewhere in the same form, in English or in any other
language, without the written consent of the Editor-in-Chief
of this journal;
iv) if accepted the authors agree to transfer
the copyright of their article in favor of this journal;
v) all statements and opinions expressed in
the published articles are the authors own, and the journal accepts no liability for them.
Preparation of articles
Articles must be written in good English, typed double-spaced,
with a margin of at least 3 cm. on all sides and sub-divided into numbered sections with brief titles.
Articles should not exceed 30 pages.
First page: should contain title,
author(s) names and affiliations, related footnotes, a short running
title (at
most 40 characters).
Abstract: A short abstract (200 words
at most) must be provided at the beginning of the article, without
for-mulae, as well as 3-6 key words or short phrases which describe
the contents.
Formulae: should be numbered consecutively
with numbers in parentheses justified on the right margin.
Tables: should have short explanatory headings and should be numbered
consecutively as Table 1, Table 2,
etc.
Figures: should be in a form suitable
for direct reproduction (which may include reduction). Illustrations
should be numbered consecutively following the order they are
referred to in the text.
Footnotes: should be avoided as far
as possible.
References: must be at the end of
the article, listed alphabetically, in the following format:

Productions
Proofs: a manuscript accepted for
publication is considered to be in its final form. Galley-proofs
will be
sent to the corresponding author for correction. The proofs must
be corrected and returned to the Editor-in-Chief within 10 days of receipt. Major changes are not allowed.
Reprints: the corresponding author
will receive 25 free reprints. |
